We have always heard that it was very complicated as a foreigner to buy a property in Italy, but through Margo Immobiliare it has proven really easy. Alice has been an extraordinary agent through the process, energetic and quick to respond and she is always thinking ahead to see what hurdles might emerge on our way. She is a very experienced agent and has been an extraordinary person in helping us with everything from getting us a code fiscale to finding a trusted cleaner (opening a bank account, getting insurance, opening for gas, electricity and water, signing the deed at the notary’s on our behalf (and sending us a picture of it!), telling us where to find thing like a mailbox and how to dispose of garbage in a closed medieval town....). Alice is patient and very helpful. She has taken care of bills for opening gas, water and electricity, and she will make sure that the first bills are paid until the payments can go through our bank account. It has been very easy to communicate, and documents have circulated safely for signatures – always with a clear instruction what to do, where to sign etc. Alice speaks very good English and she’s very quick to respond over mail to any question that we have had. She is a true problem solver and always one step ahead. We very warmly recommend Margo Immobiliare to handle the purchase of a property in Italy.
Buying a second home in Italy was not something I thought we could actually do with ease. The service we received from Margo Immobiliare changed our doubts and today we own a beautiful apartment in Umbria. What an absolute pleasure it has been dealing with Pauline and the Team at Margo Immobiliare. We came to Italy from Australia looking to purchase a property and had major reservations regarding the unfortunate reputation that proceeds Real Estate agencies/ agents in Italy, luckily our dealings with Pauline could not be further from that myth. Pauline has been a total professional throughout, her prompt responses to emails and calls has been nothing short of brilliant, she even responded to us during her week off, that is unheard of! She constantly went out of her way to provide all the information we required and made us feel extremely comfortable during the entire process. We found the house of our dreams thanks to Margò Immobiliare. That is to say, we ourselves found the house on Idealista, but Margò Immobiliare helped us to make our dreams come true by their impeccable service, both prior to and after buying the house. Margò Immobiliare was very responsive - not only during work hours - and thanks to their fantastic help the house we bought was quickly “up and running”. An extra asset of Margò Immobiliare was the impressive command of languages: apart from Italian, their representatives can communicate in fluent English, French and Dutch (and perhaps other languages, but we didn’t put that to the test).
